The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI), located on Glebe Road, Arlington, VA 22201-5762, to sustain membership for 100 representative members In accordance with Subpart 13.106(b) in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). AAMI is "an alliance of over 6,000 members united by the common goal of increasing the understanding and beneficial use of medical instrumentation." Their resources are nationally and internationally standardized. In addition, they provide leadership and programs that improve the ability of the professions, health care institutions, and industry to understand, develop, manage, and use medical instrumentation and related technologies safely and effectively. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals/bids are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
