The USDA, Agricultural Research Service, Arthropod-Borne Animal Diseases Research Laboratory, Laramie, Wyoming, intends to enter into a sole source contract with Applied Biosystems, Foster City, California, for the purchase of one upgrade kit (3100 to 3130xl), data collection software and sequence/fragment analysis installation kit for a Government-owned Applied Biosystem Automated Sequencer Model 3100. Applied Biosystems holds the exclusive rights as the sole manufacturer and distributor in North America, for research use only of the 3130 to 3130xl upgrade kits. *Provide Qualification Statement by Close of Business September 14, 2005, if interested in this procurement.
