The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) intends to award a sole source, simplified acquisition to E I Dupont/Dupont Qualicon, 3531 Silverside Road, Bedford Building, Wilmington, DE 19810. The requirement is for a quantity of two (2) each, BAX System Cycler/Detector, part number 41020001. The BAX System is proprietary to Dupont Qualicon and has been adopted by the USDA, FSIS to detect listeria monocytogenes and salmonella. This is not a request for competitive quotations. No solicitation is available for this requirement. Interested concerns may submit a capability statement within 7 days after the posted date of this notice. All timely responses will be considered, however, a determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon the responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses should be addressed to the attention of the Contracting Officer referencing number FSIS-19-B-05.
