NOTICE OF INTENT: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Orlando Medical Center, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Landauer Incorporated, 2 Science Road, Glenwood, IL 60425 for dosimetry services using optically simulated Luminescence technology. Landauer holds several a patents for this technology and has been found to be the only source available to provide this service to the Orlando Veterans Affairs Medical Center. This is a notice of intent for Sole Source procurement under Other Than Full and Open Competition (FAR 6.302-1). The associated NAICS Code is 334513. This is a Notice of Intent and is not a request for competitive proposals. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received no later than 11:00 AM (EST), December 13, 2011 and all responses will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
