The following items are being solicited on a "brand name or equal" basis: Item 0001: One each Dyne Systems Model 66 (or equal) dry gap eddy current dynamometer system, mounted in stand that allows for operation in either horizontal or vertical shaft orientation; Item 0002: One each Dyne Systems 8100 (or equal) eddy current dry gap dynamometer system mounted in stand that allows for vertical orientation; Item 0003: One each Digital Dynamometer Control System with two (2) Dyne Systems Dyn-Loc IV (or equal) digital dynamometer controllers that can be shared by both Items 0001 and 0002; and Item 0004: One each Operator Control Console. Delivery shall be made to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, NY 03801 no later than 30 September 2002. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered. All proposals submitted shall include specification sheets and pictures of the items proposed. The prospective awardee must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database prior to award. A written solicitation, N00102-02-R-0926, will be issued and posted on the web at www.neco.navy.mil on or about 10 July 2002. The closing date for receipt of proposals shall be 24 July 2002 at 3:30 PM local time. This solicitation is unrestricted.
