This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.


Minimum Essential Characteristics

1. The Diagnostic Systems Division requires a high throughput electroporation system that is capable of transfecting multiple cell types (not simultaneously) in a 96-well plate format or a single sample format.

2. Brand Name or Equal BTX Gemini X2 system must:
a. Be capable of transfecting multiple types of cells (not simultaneously) including prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells.
b. Be capable of transfecting multiple cell types (not simultaneously) in a 96-well plate format or a single sample format.
c. Have touch screen operability for standalone use.
d. Have preset protocols for commonly used prokaryotic and eukaryotic cell types.
e. Allow for new protocol generation to allow for transfection optimization.

3. 96-well disposable electroporation plates
a. These MECs are for two of the line items on the quote (#450450 and #450452)
b. Two different sample volume plates are required, one having a 125 ul capacity and one having a 250 ul capacity
c. Electroporation plates must be disposable.
d. Electroporation plates must be compatible with the Brand Name or Equal BTX Gemini X2 system.
