The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta intend to award on a sole source basis a purchase order to Alpha Innotech Corporation, 2401 Merced Street, San Leandro, CA 94577-4228. The proposed contractor is the only known responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The purpose of this contract is to obtain a vendor who shall provide the FluroChem HD2 system, 4 Megapixel camera with 16 bit A/D, cooled to 25 C absolute and regulated, DE-500FC light cabinet with EBR filter, adjustable tray kit, ML-26 UV transilluminator and AlphaEaseRC software. Manual %0mm F0.95 fixed lens. The FluroChem HD2 cabinet has the capability to acquire western blot chemiluminescence signal images automatically without any need to focus manually on the sample. The data generated by this equipment is compatible with the other station that we currently use (Alpha Imager). Anticipated award date is July 2, 2007. The authority for this sole source procurement is FAR part 13.106-1. This is not a request for quotation and no solicitation is available. Firms that believe they can provide the required services are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 15 days from the date of this synopsis.
