The Uniformed Services University of the Health and Sciences (USUHS), Bethesda, MD intends to acquire on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 13.106-1 (b) with Government Scientific Source, Reston, VA, to supply the Guava EasyCyte Mini Base and accessories. These accessories include the Guava Technologie's microcapillary cytometry reader, software, laptop, accessory kit, warranty, startup service, training and shipment. Government Scientific Source is the sole distributor for Guava products for sale to the federal government. This system enables easy monitoring of lymphocyte depletion, using a bench top system. The instrument will be used in the laboratory for protein binding assays, cell counting, and viability testing of cells for setting up experiments. Guava EasyCyte Mini has a unique feature that has a high precision flow cell which allows the instrument to use fewer cells for analysis. The microcapillary cytometry technology within this instrument will also reduce the number of animals for experiments that is required by IACUC protocols. This is not a Request for Quote (RFQ). However, all interested parties may contact the Contracting Officer for details. Responses must be in writing and must be received in the office by April 27, 2007. Interested parties may send responses to the following address: USUHS, Directorate of Contracting, A1040C, Attn: Kiesha Johnson, 4301 Jones Bridge Road, Bethesda, MD 20814-4799 or e-mail [email protected].
