The Food and Drug Administration intends to award a purchase order on a sole source non-competitive basis to Glas-Col Apparatus Division, 711 Hulman St., Terre Haute, IN 47802-2128. Item 0001, Item number 099C A4212, Inhalation Exposure System 120V. The Inhalation Exposure System is a unique full-body aerosol unit that provides reproducible exposure to droplet-borne contaminants and infectious agents, producing deep-lung infections that more closely simulate real-world circumstances, which will be used in the division?s BSL-3 laboratory. This is the only known system compatible with the already existing Glas-Col inhalation machine, such that all parts and parameters will be interchangeable between current and new system. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES. However, sources may submit descriptive literature, fully documenting their capabilities, which will be considered by the agency. A determination to compete this procurement based on response(s) to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The FDA intends to make an award immediately after the response date of this notice. The award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
