**INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE*** The VAMC Salisbury 1601 Brenner Ave Salisbury NC 28144 intends to solicit and award a sole source firm-fixed price contract for the purchase of Thin Prep Assay Reagents. This requirement is intended for award to: Hologic (Manufacturer) under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Hologic stated on 9.19.19 that they are the sole proprietary manufacturer and domestic distributor of Thin Prep and this item can only be sole sourced directly from Hologic. The North American Industry Classification System for this acquisition is 325413. Small business size standard: 1250 employees. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals/quotes. However, the government will consider all responses received within 5 business days of publication (on/before September 23, 2019 at 1:00PM). A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
