The U.S. Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center intends to negotiate with General Dynamics, Armament and Technical Products (GD-ATP), 2000 Brunswick Lane, Deland, FL 32724, under the authority of 10 U.S.C., Section 2304(c)(1) to provide refurbishment of the Joint Biological Point Detection System (JBPDS) and spare Line Replaceable Units (LRUs). A Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity type contract is proposed. As the developer/producer, GD-ATP possesses a unique understanding of the JBPDS Low Rate initial Production (LRIP) systems and subsequent designs. The Government currently possesses no rights in technical design data that would be necessary to permit any other source to meet the required delivery schedule. GD-ATP possesses th e resources, experience and capabilities to meet the requirement within the program schedule. See Note 22.
