The US Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Environmental Laboratory, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)) with In-Situ Inc., 221 East Lincoln Avenue, Fort Collins, CO 80524, (970) 489-1500 (w), as the only responsible source under GSA schedule GS-25F-0045M, that can provide the Level troll 500 series multi-parameter pressure transducers, environmental data logger and associated cabling and surface readout units according to FAR 8.405-6(a)(2). In-Situ Inc has proprietary rights as the manufacturer and is the sole distributor.
Based on the above information, the only technically acceptable Level troll units are those provided by In-Situ Inc.
This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. There is a 100% small business set-aside restriction for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 334513 with a Small Business Size Standard of 500 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data, including price, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product. All capability statements received by the closing date of this publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
