The United States Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source based on the controller and scanner manufactured by the proposed contractor are the only controller and scanner upgrades with options available which are compatible with existing atomic force microscope Veeco System IV. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Veeco Metrology, Inc. 112 Robin Hill Road, Santa Barbara, CA 93117 for a Qty 1 Nanoscope 5 Upgrade (for Veeco System IV-Atomic force Microscope)

This notice of intent is not a request for competive proposals. However, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is soley within the discretion of the Government.
