Notice of Intent to Sole Source Reagents at Lexington VA Medical Center, KY This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. The Department of Veterans Affair s NCO-9, intends to issue a sole source firm-fixed priced delivery order against Cepheid s GSA FSS contract no. GS-07F-0597T, unless an interested party can show their reagents and collection supplies are compatible with Cepheid s GeneXpert system. A sole source procurement will be issued to Cepheid, Inc. because the reagents and collection devices are used on the Cepheid GeneXpert system which is used to identify such diseases like Methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), C difficile, influenza A, B and H1N12009, Chlamydia trachomatis, Neisseria gonorrhea and Mycobacterium tuberculosis/RIF resistance gene. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with (IAW) VHAPM Part 808.405-6, Limiting Sources and FAR 8.405-6(a). The NAICS code is 325413 and has a size standard of 1250 employees. SCOPE OF WORK: Lexington VA Medical Center owns a Cepheid GeneXpert System and only seeks to procure the required reagents and collection supplies necessary to meet its annual needs. No options were considered. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit pertinent documentation supporting capability by Monday, September 10, 2018 at 1pm CST to: [email protected]. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
