The U.S. Department of Agriculture proposes to sole source purchase an Optical Impurities Sensor from Uster Technologies, Inc. of Charlotte, NC. The sensor will be used to measure the amount of trash and dust in yarn. The Optical Impurities Sensor shall be installed/set-up delivery FOB with training provide to the USDA, ARS, SRRC, New Orleans, Louisiana. An IFB with complete specification requirements will be issued on or about December 29, 2004. These dates are tentative and will be specified in the IFB package.
