This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being issued as a request for quotation. Submit offers on RML-RFQ # 3013. The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-11 dated 12/31/02. This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 339111 and the small business size is 500 employees. The Rocky Mountain Laboratories, Laboratory of Intercellular Parasites has a requirement for Four (4) each Free-Standing, Floor-Model, Portable, Refrigerated Microcentrifuges with the following specifications: 1) Must be designed to accept various rotors for tubes ranging in size from microtubes to 14ml conical tubes; 2)Provide a force of at least 20,500G; 3)Maintain a temperature of 4 degrees Celsius throughout an extended run; 4)Speed of 16,000RPM; 5)Brushless Induction Motor; 6)Refrigerant type HFC-134a; 7)Setting Range 300-16,000rpm/100 to 28,300 x g; 8)Settings of 100rpm/100 x g increments; 9)Acceleration Time Automatic from 6 to 37 seconds; 10)Deceleration Time Automatic from 10 to 45 seconds; 11)Temperature Setting Range -9 to 35 degrees Celsius; 12)Time Setting Range 1 - 99 minutes, Continuous; 13)Time Settings in 1 minute increments; 14)Speed and RCF alternative display; 15)Soft Brake Function; 16)Three memory stores, with previous setting memory; 17)Overspeed, Overheat and Overcool Detectors; 18)Automatic rotor identification system; and 19)Electronic Braking; Four (4) each 24x1.5ml Fixed Angle Rotors; and Two (2) each 8x14ml Fixed Angle Rotors. FOB Point shall be Destination, Hamilton, MT. Delivery shall be 14 days after receipt of order (ARO). Delivery location is Rocky Mountain Laboratories, 903 S. 4th Street, Hamilton, MT. The following FAR provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors?Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation?Commercial Items. Award will be based on: 1) The capability of the item offered to meet the above stated salient characteristics; 2) Warranty; and 3) Price; FAR 52-212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions?Commercial Items; FAR 52-212.5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders?Commercial Items. Offerors must include with their offer a completed copy of the provisions at FAR 52.212-3 Offerors Representations and Certifications?Commercial Items.
