The US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) in support of US Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense (USAMRICD) intends to negotiate solely (as prescribed in FAR 13.106(b)(1)(i)) with JAN Scientific, Inc. 4726 11th Ave NE, Ste 101, Seattle, WA 98105, for the procurement of a 5 position deck mosquito for crystallography.

Specifically, the government will purchase the following items:

4150-03020 - Spool of 26,000 pipettes at 9mm pitch (for 96+ well plates)
4150-03100 - 8-position 5uL micro-reservoir strips for 9mm pitch (50/pack)
4150-03110 - 8-position 2uL micro-reservoir strips for 9mm pitch (50/pack)
4150-05600 - ViewDrop II 96-well plate seals for hanging drop (25/pack)
4150-05100 - ViewDrop 96-well plate seals for hanging drop (25/pack)
4150-05810 - 96-Well sitting drop iQ Plate (100/pack)
4150-05610 - ViewDrop III UV 96-Well Plate seals for hanging drop (25/pack)

These products have been specifically designed, developed and manufactured for the optimum use and efficiency with mosquito and are not purchasable from any other vendor in an identical form. This equipment will be needed in order to maintain the scientific continuity of ongoing experimentation.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 334516 and the size standard of 500.

This announcement constitutes the only notice by the government; a written solicitation will not be issued. Interested persons may identify their interest by submitting a capability statement, proposal, or quotation to the point of contact listed below. This Special Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. If no written responses are received by the date listed below, which reflects five (5) days after the publication of this notice, the purchase will be awarded without further remarks.
