The purpose of this effort is to assist the Office of Naval Research (ONR) in the move of two (2) Quantum Scalar i2000 Library that houses 1,000 tape backup systems from Bolling Air Force Base to ONR Data Center located at 875 North Randolph Street, Arlington, VA 22203. The contractor will be required to shut down, secure, and pack the Scalar i2000 to ensure that they are not damaged in transit. The Government is responsible for moving the equipment from Bolling Air Force Base to the ONR Data Center. After the move is completed, the contractor will be required to unpack, install the Quantum Scalar i2000 Library and Quantum Library Product, System Integration Service, and restart the system. Quotes were obtained from three (3) offerors and an award will be made to the most advantageous offeror. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within five (5) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government.
