The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) has a requirement to purchase sixteen (16) PCB Piezotronics Inc. model 357B69 accelerometers. The specifications of the accelerometers include a charge output, high temperature capability (to +900 degrees F), 3 pC/g sensitivity, to 6k Hz maximum frequency, 10-32 side connector, and 10-32 mount. The PCB Piezotronics Inc. model 357B69 accelerometers are being purchased to replace those of the same model which were rented and were damaged and/or destroyed during special fleet support testing. As the nature of this acquisition is for replacement equipment, the exact make and model accelerometer must be purchased and no substitutions can be made. NSWCCD intends to negotiate a non-competitive procurement with PCB Piezotronics, Inc., 3425 Walden Ave, Depew, NY 14043-2417. The delivery must be on or before 31 March 2012. Award of a Firm Fixed Price type contract is anticipated. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes however interested parties may submit a capability statement within fifteen (15) days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
