This announcement constitutes the only synopsis/solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.

This solicitation of Purchase Request # W68MX382395706 is issued as a request for quotations (RFQ). The combined synopsis/solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-26 and DAC 20080812.

All responsible Contractors shall provide an offer for the following Brand Name or Equal Products:

The salient characteristics are as follows:

1) Menu-driven control panel large display & large-sized knobs which can be moved from either side of the microtome for user comfort.
2) Selectable, integrated specimen retraction with variable knob controlled advance & retraction.
3) Section thickness ranges from 0.5 to 100um; specimen trimming function with defined steps from 5 to 500um.
4) Specimen advance of 28mm through stepping motor technology.
5) Integrated waste tray with arm rest.
6) Motorized heavy-duty automated rotary microtome designed for all applications of paraffin, semi-thin, & hard specimens in clinical labs.
7) Section Transfer System reduces the requirement for manual manipulation of the cut tissue sections, increasing usage safety from repetitive motion and proximity of cutting blade and automatically transfers cut sections.

Delivery shall be FOB Destination to Madigan Army Medical Center. Pricing quoted shall include all applicable fees.
