The National Data Buoy Center intends to negotiate only with Sea-Bird Electronics, Inc. of Bellevue, WA for 54 Each MicroCAT Conductivity and Temperature Recorders with Serial interface, Memory, and Internal Pump; Part Number SBE-37 SMP. This salinity sensor determines the salinity of sea water by measuring conductivity and temperature. The instrument acquires these values, averages them over time, and exports the data. The following capability is required for these instruments:
Conductivity - Range: 0-7 S/m; Acc: 0.00035 S/m; Stab: 0.00035 S/m/month; Res: 0.00001 S/m
Temperature - Range: -5 to 35 Degrees C; Acc: 0.002 Degrees C; Stab: 0.002 Degrees C; Res: 0.0001 Degrees C
The sensor must have external power input capability. See Numbered Notes 1 and 22.
