Healthcare Acquisition Activity-North intends to issue a firm fixed price purchase order with Biomerieux, Inc. annual maintenance and service on equipment located at Ireland Army Community Hospital (IACH), under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).

The items being maintained and serviced are Vitek 2 and Bact/Alert analyzers located in the pathology department at IACH. Biomerieux has the proprietary operating system software needed to provide service on the analyzers. Biomerieux field service representatives are the only authorized representatives to perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and trouble shoot on the above mentioned analyzers.

This requirement will be procured in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 13, using simplified acquisition procedures. NAICS code is 334517, size standard of 500 employees. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the Agency. Offerors certain they can meet the requirement may submit in writing an affirmative response and statement of technical capabilities. All written responses must include a written narrative statement of capability, including detailed technical information demonstrating their ability to meet the above requirement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to the notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
