The Veteran s Administration (VA) Office of Research and Development, Service Area Office East in Pittsburgh, PA intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Siemens Medical Solutions of Malvern, PA. The requirement is to upgrade a system that is currently installed and in use at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, TX. The current system requires one Siemens Magnetom Prisma fit 32TQ system upgrade. Any proposed upgraded system shall be compatible with the current Magnetom fMRI.
