In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Applied Imaging, a firm fixed price contract for a Slide Scanning and Analysis System. Persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement; however, this notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Responses must be received no later than 15 days from the date of this notice. Requirements include: · Regulatory Clearances â Instrument system requires FDA 510k clearance for the classification of cells based on their size, shape and color. Application specific 510k clearance for IHC analysis of Her2/neu, Estrogen Receptor, and Progesterone Receptor. · Able to scan and analyze Fluorescent In Situ Hybridization ( FISH) preparations in cell suspensions and tissue. Provide scoring output for individual probes, probe ratios, intensities, and areas. · Capable of specifying the number of z planes and the spacing of those planes for any fluorescent based assay. · Able to provide a machine-readable positive identification method for ID of slides and the requested tests and patient demographic information. · Ability to relocate any region scanned within plus (+) or minus (â) 5 microns regardless whether the slide has been removed from the system and stored. · Capable of easily linking serial sections of tissue on separate slides together so that regions selected for analysis in one section will be propogated to any linked section. · Able to provide configured assays consisting of KI67, P53, P27, P63, ER, PR, Her2/neu, DNA Aneuploidy, Rare Event Detection in Tissue, Rare Event Detection in Cell Suspensions, Bladder Cancer recurrence, Bone Marrow Transplant monitoring, Angiogenesis, ImmunoFluorescence, Her2 neu gene in tissue, Image capture without analysis and Tissue Micro Array with subcellular compartment analysis. · Ability to provide Tissue Micro Array ( TMA ) module with flexible software for core map creation.
