The Department of Veterans Affairs, Salisbury, NC is seeking to enter into a Reagent Rental agreement for HPV (Human papillomavirus) testing for FY14 (Service period date of award through 9/30/2014). The medical center currently utilizes Thin Prep* equipment and supplies. The Thin-Prep Pap Test is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a platform for HPV DNA testing directly from the Thin-Prep Pap Test collection vial using the QIAGEN Hybrid Capture® 2* system. The reagent rental agreement includes lease of equipment, Pap supplies and non-Gyn supplies (vials, brushes, cytolyte, preservcyte, slides, and filters). The costs are tied to workload. Projected utilization at the Salisbury VAMC for FY14 is as follows: Pap Testing: Total Pap Volume/ Month : 94 Non-Gyn Testing: Total Filter Volume/Month : 95 *Product names above are Hologic/Cytyc and are being provided for informational purposes. This is a name brand or equal requirement for HPV DNA testing using liquid-based cytology. We are seeking a test methodology that is also approved for Chlamydia trachomatis (CT) and Neisseria Gonorrhea (NG) testing directly from the same collection vial. If another testing method other than the Thin-Prep is being proposed, a full product description, including methodology, rate of HSIL detection, error rate shall be submitted in sufficient technical detail to allow the Government to determine the item to be at least equal to the brand name items listed above. Offers without this information cannot be evaluated and the quotation will be determined to be non-responsive. A detailed description of agreement terms and conditions, any maintenance services, and customer service shall be included with the quote.
