The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Center for Neutron Research (NCNR), has a requirement for the manufacture of four (4) Tungsten Alloy 18D AMS-T-21014. These alloys shall be manufactured in accordance with NIST supplied drawings.
The objective of this procurement is to provide the NCNR with tungsten parts. These parts will be utilized by the NCNR to reduce the amount of radiation surrounding the Multi Analyzer Crystal Spectrometer (MACS) instrument to a level that is acceptable by health physics.
Delivery shall be FOB Destination.
This requirement is being procured using simplified acquisition procedures under the authority of FAR Part 13. This requirement will be 100 percent set-aside for small business.
The NAICS code for this requirement is 334516 with a small business size standard of 500 employees.
The competitive Request for Quotation (RFQ), specifications, subsequent amendments, and all questions and answers related to this procurement shall be made available via the Internet at HTTP://WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV under RFQ number SB1341-07-RQ-0131.
The RFQ is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about March 30, 2007, and will only be available via the Internet at the above website.
