NASA/GRC has a requirement for one Ultra-high vacum (UHV) substrate heater stagefor sputter deposition.NASA/GRC intends to purchase the item from Kurt J. Lesker Company. NASA GRC seeks tomodify an existing Kurt J. Lesker Company sputter deposition system currently on site inorder to provide several new features/capabilities. Kurt J. Lesker Company possesses theunique capabilities and proprietary expertise that will safely and effectively allow forthis modification. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon September 3, 2010. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.
