The NIST Acquisition and Logistics Division intends to negotiate on a sole source basis under the authority of Section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996 with Veeco Metrology, LLC to upgrade a Veeco Metrology LLC Nanoscope III AFM that NIST currently owns. Based on market research conducted by NIST, this upgrade may only be obtained directly from Veeco Metrology, LLC. A Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order will be issued to Veeco Metrology, LLC for this upgrade. However, parties that are authorized by Veeco Metrology, LLC to perform such an upgrade may respond to this notice of intent to indicate their capability and authorization to perform such an upgrade. Such notice must provide written evidence from Veeco Metrology, LLC that the party is authorized to perform such an upgrade. If such a notice is received within before the response date for this notice being published, then NIST may make a determination to compete this procurement.
