This is a sole source combined synopsis solicitation for commercial items (non-personal services). This document was prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented and in accordance with FAR FAC 2005-09, April 19, 2006 with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The United States Air Force (USAF) intends to award a sole source commercial, firm-fixed price purchase order to Rohde & Schwarz. This one-time requirement is to repair and calibrate Qty: 1, Vector Voltmeter, Model ZPV-OP41.82 IAW the attached Statement of Work. Market research shows Rohde & Schwarz is the only source that can satisfy the government’s requirements. All timely responses will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not it is advantageous to the Government to conduct a competitive procurement; no award will be made on the basis of any response to this notice. Any company that feels they have the capability to meet the needs of the Government must submit their technical data (2 pages or less) to support their claim. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.FOB Destination, FAR Clauses 52.212-1, 52.212-2 (addendum: Delivery and Price), 52.212-3, 52.212-4, 52.212-5 , 52.222-48 apply to this acquisition. STATEMENT OF WORK The contractor shall perform the following services for a quantity of one ZPV vector voltmeter serial number 881039020 with one E2 plug in serial number 861644/014. a. Perform evaluation testing b. Repair and restore the vector voltmeter to serviceable condition. c. Perform standard calibration IAW manufacturer’s specifications. d. Upon completion of these tasks, return the unit postage paid.
