Responses to this Sources Sought Notice will be utilized by the Government to
make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this RFI, a
solicitation announcement may or may not be published in FedBizOpps (FBO).
This Sources Sought Notice is to identify potential vendors of Handheld Point of Care Blood Analyzers.
General Requirements:
Self-contained, disposable reagent cartridges for a variety of tests on a single platform that includes pH, PCO2, PO2, sO2, Base Excess, Anion Gap, Creatinine, Urea Nitrogen, Glucose, Sodium, Potassium, Chloride, TCO2, HCO3, Hematocrit, Hemoglobin, Activated Clotting Time (ACT), Ionized Calcium, BNP, B HCG, PT/INR and Troponin I at the point of care using a minimum amount of venous, arterial, or capillary blood with test time ranging from two to fifteen minutes.
All necessary equipment and services for cost per reagent; this includes all controls, calibrators, disposables/consumables, printer and printer paper, rechargeable batteries, external electronic simulator and linearity standards.
The reagent platform and equipment should be capable of supporting an expanded test menu to include other tests in the future if needed.
All necessary FDA approved equipment/ instrumentation that includes handheld readers that are completely portable (rechargeable power pack)

communication enquiries will not be reviewed or accepted. Responses to this
Sources Sought Notice must be received no later than July 23, 2020 at 12:00 p.m.
(Eastern Standard Time). This Sources Sought Notice is to assist the VA in
determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is
issued, it may or may not be announced at a later date, and all interested parties shall
respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this
Sources Sought Notice.
