SPECIAL NOTICE NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Dialysis Machine CLE The Department of Veterans Affairs Cleveland Medical Center (CLE VAMC), 10701 East Blvd., Cleveland, OH 44106 intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1)(i) - Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The NAICS code is 334510 with a small business size standard of 1250. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with NanoString Technologies, 530 Fairview Avenue North, Suite 200, Seattle, WA 98109, for Gene Panels and Reagents. These items are made only by NanoString and are made specifically for NanoString equipment (nCounter) that was previously acquired by the Capadona (co-PI) lab and VA. These reagents and panels are curated by NanoString, so they are the only company that makes this specific panels and reagents for our needs. These are custom panels with a custom code set that will allow for detecting neuroinflammation and oxidative stress, which is of particular importance for our study.
