The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Network Contracting Office 20 (NCO 20) is conducting a market survey and is seeking potential sources for an Indirect Calorimetry Measurement System .This Sources Sought Notice is issued for information and planning purposes only. This is not a solicitation or a request for proposal and shall not be construed as an obligation or commitment by the Government. An award will not be made on any offers submitted in response to this notice, and it shall not be implied the Government is committed to providing any solicitation or award following this notice. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this request, nor will the Government compensate a respondent for any costs incurred in developing the information provided.     Responses shall be submitted to Nick Price at [email protected] by COB 03/29/2022 SUBJECT: RFI 36C26022Q0334 Indirect Calorimetry Measurement System for Rodents   This notice is intended strictly for market research. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued.  Indirect Calorimetry Measurement System for Rodents Requested Salient Characteristics Temperature controlled cabinet 5 degrees to 40 degrees Celsius, must be uniform temperature at all levels of enclosure +/- 1 degree Celsius Oxygen and carbon dioxide sensors must be precise at physiological ranges: 1-10ppm precision for CO2 and 10-100ppm for O2, with sensor scanning rate of 10Hz Food and water intake access must be controllable by mass and time available Real-time viewing is required for activity and food intake data Must be capable of measuring respiration rate of mice and rats Activity measurements in X, Y and Z axes Running wheel controlled by computer Must accommodate normal rodent home cages, no fewer than 16 rat and/or mouse Please include brochures in your response
