INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Automated Semen Analyzer The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 7 located in Augusta, GA intends to issue a sole source firm fixed priced contract to Medical Electronic Systems, LLC. The contract is expected to be awarded under FAR Part 13. A Limited Sources Justification has been prepared. The contract will be to supply SQA-Vision Automated Semen Analyzer. The SQA-Vision Automated Semen Analyzer will be used by the Atlanta VA Urology department to determine patient viability for sperm production. The SQA-Vision Automated Semen Analyzer will streamline semen analysis program, reduce cost per test and deliver exceptional quality of care to the Veterans. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) (1)(ii), Soliciting from a Single Source. The NAICS code utilized for this procurement is 334516 Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing with a Small Business Size Standard of 1000 employees. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, Contractors may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the contracting officer whether to continue with the sole source procurement or to provide for competition.
