FAR13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items: The authority for applying the Simplified Procedures for Commercial Items of FAR 13.5 is 41 U.S.C. 1901 and is implemented by for restricting competition on this procurement via FAR 13.106-1(b)(2). It is the Government s belief that the hospital Operates 24 hours day and 7 days week. The instrument to be purchased includes and is limited to the Genexpert IV R2 Module, black and white printer for the Genexpert and Smartcycl, and a Pro APC power-saving back-up 1500/120V. The Genexpert software is patented solely to Cepheid and the Genexpert Instruments. Cepheid shall furnish all supplies and services as described herein to the Washington DC VAMC, acquired during the contract period (30 Days ARO). Estimated cost is $55,085.00. The estimated award date is on or before (03/31/2021). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
