The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Carl Zeiss Microscopy for a Modular Laser Scanning Microscope LSM 980 with Airyscan Multiplex and components to support research studies at the Nashville VA. The system must allow super resolution based on a confocal platform providing simultaneous high-speed acquisition, 8x improvement in Signal to Noise and 2x spatial resolution improvement without the use of closing down a pinhole. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement and who is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), authorized dealer, authorized distributor or authorized reseller of all the items listed above, may submit a capability statement to the contracting office to the contracting office no later than Friday, March 26, 2021, 4:00 PM EST.
