The Committee for Purchase From People Who Are Blind or Severely Disabled (Committee) is pursuing partnerships with U.S. commercial manufacturers of skin care products which meet the following criteria: 1) Possession of a nationally known brand name that can be demonstrated to have significant appeal through evidence of substantial sales. 2) Must offer a full product line including hand washing, moisturizing, sanitizers, waterless hand cleaners and heave duty soil cleaners and a dispensing system. 3) Formulations designed for use in food preparation areas must meet the current FDA regulations for those products. 4) All products considered "over-the counter" drugs must meet up to date FDA labeling requirements. 5) The vendor must be willing to set a high priority in delivering the materials to non-profit agency in order to assure that the agency will be able to make on-time deliveries to the customer. 6) All formula products must have been thoroughly lab tested and customer tested, be effective according to their purpose, have current MSD sheets, contain no ingredients considered unacceptably harsh or hazardous in their diluted (formula) state, and be eco friendly. 7) Willingness to enter into a multi-year agreement, which includes technical assistance, to have a nonprofit agency that meets the criteria of the Javits-Wagner-O’Day Program to assemble and/or package the products in question thereby creating employment for people who are blind or severely disabled. 8) Commitment to working independently with the JWOD team to market the products to Government customers under the JWOD Program. 9) Willingness to work with the nonprofit agency, NIB or NISH and the Committee to ensure that the products’ price to end-users is a fair and reasonable price. 10) Manufacturers' submissions must demonstrate that the specific products meet the various criteria, as well as indicate what functions the nonprofit agency's employees would perform.
