The Bureau of Engraving and Printing plans to issue a solicitation for color-shifting cylinder-wipe non-heatset intaglio currency inks for its Washington, D.C. and Fort Worth, Texas facilities in accordance with BEP Specification No. I:CSI-1B dated February 16, 2002. The Government anticipates that a Fixed-Price, Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity type contract will result from this solicitation. The period of performance will be one base period of 12 months, and four (4) 12-month option periods. The BEP's total Color Shifting Ink requirements is as follows: Base Year: 20,340 lbs. with a minimum requirement of 4,086 lbs; Option Year 1: 26,698 lbs with a minimum requirement of 5,340 lbs.; Option Year 2: 37,873 lbs. with a minimum requirement of 7,575 lbs.; Option Year 3: 33,968 lbs. with a minimum requirement of 6,794 lbs.; and Option Year 4: 30,079 lbs. with a minimum requirement of 6,016 lbs. The NAICS code for this requirement is 325910 with the corresponding size standard of 300 employees.
