The U.S. Geological Survey, Biological Resources Division, National Wildlife Health Center (WWHC), intends to make a non-competitive award via written request for quotation No. 07ER98-No Solicitation to Cepheid, Sunnyvale, California for the purchase of reagents (beads) for the detection of avian influenza by RT-PCR. Cepheid is the only manufacturer of the avian influenza RT-PCR diction materials in a pre-mixed and freeze-dried format that is approved for use in the National Animal Health Laboratory Network (NAHLN) procedures. The USGS National Wildlife Health Center is committed to adhering to the NAHLN procedures unless superior detection methods are identified. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.
