Fleet & Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound requires 4,104 gallons of IMI709C Solventless Polyester Resin for use in dip tanks used as an impregnate for submarine/surface vessel electrical motors, armatures/stators and transformer coils. This specific resin product, manufactured by Von-Roll-Isola USA Inc, has been tested and approved for use on these ships' parts by NAVSEA. This is the only known (approved) product available for use on the applicable parts. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Von-Roll-Isola's distributor EIA Company Inc, 18404 Cascade Way, Building A, Unit 120, Tukwila WA 98188-4742.
