This solicitation number is: 7011275131-1009, is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ), and incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-16. The U.S. Dept. of Agriculture intends to procure the following item - as a SOLE SOURCE procurement: Big Dye Terminator Cycle Reagent Kit, Part number: 4337457 - manufactured by Applied Biosystems - located in Foster City - at phone number: 800-874-9868 - based on the following: The above Part Number has been used on all previous and ongoing expirements - and for research and continuity purposes USDA intends to procure the above item - which shall be compatible with the Applied Biosytems Model 3100 Automated DNA Sequencer and Applied Biosystems Model 3730 Automated DNA Sequencer. Applied Biosystems own all PATENT numbers: (U.S. Patents Numbers: 6,080, 852, 6017,712 and 5,847162 for the above requested Big Dye terminator cycle sequence kit.
