The Government intends to execute an unrestricted procurement for the delivery of 270,080 standard liters (sl) of gaseous Xenon (Xe) in cylinders. Contractor(s) shall provide all production, raw materials, supplies, management, tools, equipment and labor necessary for the manufacture and distribution of Xenon, NSN: 6830-01-478-6047, which meets the requirements of Grade EW of Purchase Description Xenon, Technical, Dated 25 Aug 2003. The Xenon shall be delivered in cylinders filled to 1500-1600 psig. The intended use is for component testing and ion propulsion systems. Each cylinder delivered to the customer is required to be fully tested in accordance with the purchase description prior to shipping from the fill point. The Xenon cylinders will be delivered to two (2) different locations: Boeing, Canoga CA and Kennedy Space Center, FL. Each shipping location has special shipping instructions. The estimated yearly quantities for Boeing Canoga Park, CA: 1st Yr - 62,400 sl, 2nd Yr - 62,400 sl, 3rd Yr - 62,400 sl, and for Kennedy Space Center, FL: 1st Yr - 0.0 sl, 2nd Yr - 0.0 sl and 3rd Yr - 82,880 sl. Delivery requirement is FOB destination. Period of performance is 01 Oct 2004 through 30 Sep 2007. The resultant award shall be a three-year, firm fixed price requirements type contract(s).
