The Program Manager for Training Systems (PM TRASYS) is issuing this Special Notice to inform Industry of the intent to award a sole-source purchase order to Chemring Defence for M30 inert test cartridges for the MGSS/ M30 training system. Quotes are not being requested and written solicitation will not be used. This purchase will be made under simplified acquisition procedures and Other than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1. The anticipated award date is 11 Nov 09. This notice is neither a request for competitive proposals nor a solicitation of offers. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
