The Air Combat Command Contracting Squadron, Langley AFB, VA, is planning to purchase non-personal services for a three-year extended warranty for Indirect Fire Forward Air Control Training System (IFACTS) located at the following installations: Nellis AFB, NV; Ft. Irwin, CA; Ft. Lewis, WA; Ft. Hood, TX; Ft. Carson, CO; Ft. Riley, KS; St. Polk, LA; Pope AFB, NC; Ft. Stewart, GA; Ft. Benning, GA; Ft. Campbell, KY; Ft. Drum, NY; and Avon Park, FL. The warranty will consist of 24-hour customer support hot line, repair/replacement of failed components for 3 years, one software/one hardware upgrade per system, and one on-site visit per year per system by a certified technician. This procurement is a sole source due to the reason that FATS, Inc. had a contract with the government to provide a training simulator that is compatible and functionally interoperable with the existing IFACTS in use at multiple locations stated above. The period of performance will cover three years. The government expects to make an award as soon as possible. Industry response is not necessary. The government plans to use the Internet and e-mail as the primary means of disseminating and exchanging information.
