The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Contracts Division, Code 2.5.1.2, Webster Field St Inigoes, Maryland intends to issue a firm fixed price purchase order with Dawn VME Products, 47915 Westinghouse Dr., Fremont, CA 94539 to supply 5 each Custom, dual, 15 slot VME64x Backplane P/N 08-1012049. The acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other service or supply will satisfy the agency requirements. Dawn VME Products is the only manufacturer known to manufacturer the Custom, dual, 15 slot VME64x Backplane P/N 08-1012049 that meets the government miminum requirement. This backplane must be form, fit, and funtional replacement for previously fielded equipment used by the An/UPX-24(V) system. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, responsible interested parties may submit information in which they identify their interest and capability.
