NASA/LaRC has a requirement for 10 each Actel RTAX250S-1CQ352B Field ProgrammableGate Arrays with the associated Data Package to include an additional requirement for thetotal quantity of 10 each to be from the same lot and date code to assist in ensuring thevalidity of the collected data. NASA/LaRC intends to purchase this item from QoS who is the Actel factory approveddistributor for the NASA/LaRC territory. These Actel RTAX250S-1CQ352B Field ProgrammableGate Arrays have been pre-tested and approved for incorporation into space flighthardware and have been selected based on their radiation tolerance. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon June 9, 2009. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
