The U. S. Patent and Trademark Office has a requirement for computer hardware and software maintenance on the agency's existing genomic and protein sequence information search system. This system is proprietary and only the manufacturer, Biocceleration, Inc., can provide this service. The USPTO anticipates awarding a sole source, firm fixed price, commercial item contract to Biocceleration, Inc. with a period of performance of one base year and one option year beginning October 1, 2006.
