The Bureau of the Public Debt will issue a commercial item solicitation to acquire diagnostic, file, and database manipulation software for operation on our current IBM 9672 Model R45 CMOS Server, plus future CPU upgrades/replacements, installed at Public Debt?s Data Center in Parkersburg, West Virginia, plus maintenance, support, and training. The term of the contract will be a base year and nine one-year option periods. The current system runs under OS/390 System Architecture with JES2, VTAM, CA-ACF2, and DB2 as significant subsystems. We project upgrading to z/OS in the near future. The system also provides multi-user interactive access to TSO, CICS and IMS. Specific software utilities to be solicited include: IMS/VS Database Creation/Maintenance/Manipulation Software; DB2 Database Management and Manipulation Software; TSO/IMS/CICS Testing and Analysis Software Tool for COBOL, COBOL II, and COBOL/370; COBOL/IMS/DB2/CICS Abend Diagnostic Software; and SPF Data Handling and File Manipulation Software.
