VA Connecticut Healthcare system intends to negotiat a sole source procurement with Winchester Systems, 149 Middlesex Turnpike, Burlington, MA 01803 to aquire FlashDisk OpenRAID "SAN-in-a-Box" Ultra 160 SCSI RAID Subsystem. Shall include twelve 73.4 GB ultra high performance Ultra-160/Wide-SCSI, 10,000 RPM Hot-Swappable Disk Drives, one FlashDisk U160/Wide-SCSI ultra high performance RAID Controller with 256 MB Dual Battery-backed Read/Write Cache and one Fault-Tolerant 9 Bay Steel Rack-Mounted enclosure. Also needed is 73.4GB ultra high performance Ultra 160/Wide-SCSI, 10,000 RPM Disk Drive in Steel Hot-Swappable Disk Drive Carrier and carry case. VA will require on-site service for a year for FDJ4-R1-12X073L system to include advance parts replacement and a toll-free technical support line during normal business hours. This procurement is under the authority of FAR 6.302. All proposals recieved by July 22, 2003 will be considered by the Government. A determination based upon responses to this notice is soley within the discretion of the Government. Information recieved will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
