This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation package will not be issued. Solicitation number 20011386 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-27. This procurement is unrestricted. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 33412 and the small business size standard is 1,000 employees. The award will be made to one offeror who fully meets the requirements for providing a IBM equipment upgrade from a 2084-B16 zSeries to a 2084-C24 zSeries. The offeror shall provide a quotation for the following contract line item number (CLIN): CLIN 001: one (1) 2084-C24 zSeries 990; CLIN 0002: one (1) 1216 to 1324 16-way to 24-way Processor Upgrade; CLIN 0003: one (1) 7723 to 7733 B16 to C24, 3 I/O Cage, Frame; CLIN 0004: two (2) 1088 8GB Memory Cards; CLIN 005: eight (8) 7800 Capacity Backup Upgrade – CP; CLIN 006 one lot (1) installation; CLIN 007 twelve month (12) warranty. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: To be eligible for award, the offeror must meeting the following mandatory requirements: (1) Contractor must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) System (www.ccr.gov.); (2) Equipment must be name brand (IBM) only. The equipment provided shall be new and not refurbished nor reconditioned. The Government will award a purchase order resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation; will be most advantageous to the Government, and price. Best value will be demonstrated first and foremost by technically meeting the aforementioned requirements and then price.
