The General Services Administration intends to issue a contract to Harris Government Communications Systems. under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 through solicitation number 6TSA-03-JMT-0233. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-14. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements due to the proprietary equipment manufactured only by Harris that is required by the Department of the Air Force, HQ 100th Air Refueling Wing, Germany. This equipment is being used in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All information received by close of business, 8/13/2003 will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
